Module 4 · Lesson 3 of 3
Model letters and practice
Three original model letters (a formal complaint, a semi-formal request and an informal letter) with notes on why they work, then three timed letters for you to write and check.
In this lesson
- Plan any General Training letter in about four minutes: tone, purpose, jobs and details
- Recognise, line by line, what makes a formal complaint, a semi-formal request and an informal letter work
- Write three complete letters, one in each tone, in 20 minutes each
- Check your own letter with a self-check and decide what to fix next time
